Quick Win: The 80/20 Rule to Grow Your Brand
Consistency Counts: Daily Actions for Success
Welcome Indie Brand Builders!
Last week we spoke about scheduling your time and increasing productivity. You know, the typical January talk!
But if you're anything like me, New Year's resolutions tend to fizzle out after a few months, or even weeks!
My goal this year is to grow my social media following. What’s yours?
The Five Star Focus for this week is all about establishing daily habits.
Why? Well, because these habits will not only help you make progress in your business, but they'll also help you smash through your goals!

This Week's Best Content:
Stop listening to everyone else 👂️

I have ADHD. I didn't know this until last year. The biggest thing I've learned this year about myself is that when I'm highly motivated I get shit done. What motivates you?James Clear - Atomic Habits
If you haven't read this book yet. Now is the time! Seriously. The concept is simple. Do something small everyday and over time it will turn into something big. 🤯Adobe.com - Consistency is the key 🔑

Alex talks about the art of doing one thing repeatedly. As someone with ADHD, this is something I really struggle with. I'm always on to the next thing. But building a business, no matter what kind, requires showing up on a daily basis.
MY TAKEAWAYS
All this talk of showing up and establishing habits requires time.
For me time is the absolute biggest issue I face when trying to build my business. How can I possibly post content every day while juggling hundreds of other tasks in my business?
Focus on the 80/20 rule. (80% of outcomes come from 20% of efforts)
If you have a list of 20 things to do today, identify 4 tasks that will give you the biggest results.
For many businesses this revolves around marketing, and more specifically customers trusting your brand. Anything you can do to build your reputation and establish trust is a clear win.
Where’s the 20% of your business that you can be focusing on?
To your success,
Dan
